Finding reliable, enriching care during school transitions can be a challenge for busy families. Whether it’s a full professional development day or a scheduled early dismissal, Westchester Child Development Center (WCDC) is here to ensure your child’s out-of-school time is filled with STEM discovery, creative arts, and active play.
We are excited to announce special camp sessions for the following dates:

🚌 Seamless Transitions: Half-Day School Pick-Up
For the half-day sessions on March 19 and March 26, WCDC offers a specialized school bus pick-up service. We provide licensed transportation from:

Greenacres
Other schools may be available upon request.
Your child will be picked up directly from school and brought to our center, where they can dive straight into an afternoon of engaging activities until 6:00 PM.

🏺 Featured Theme (March 20): Discovering Ancient Egypt
On Friday, March 20, our full-day camp will transport students to the banks of the Nile. Our curriculum balances rigorous academic enrichment with hands-on STEM exploration:
Premium Reading & Creative Writing: Students will explore the myths of gods and pharaohs and even try their hand at writing their own stories using a simplified hieroglyphic alphabet.
STEM Challenge: LEGO Engineering the Pyramids. Campers will use structural engineering principles to build stable, scaled pyramid models, learning about the physics used by ancient architects.
Scientific Exploration: An introduction to the science of preservation and chemistry through age-appropriate "mummification" experiments using household materials.
Thematic Arts: Designing custom death masks and "wish scrolls" inspired by traditional Egyptian papyrus art.
