Are your children fascinated by robots, coding, or how cities work? This summer, WCDC invites K–5 students to take part in two weeks of LEGO-themed immersive learning that combines engineering, creativity, and real-world challenges!

🔧 August 11–15: LEGO Robotics & Smart City Building
This week is perfect for young engineers and future city planners! Students will:
Build and program LEGO robots to manage smart traffic systems in a custom-designed LEGO city.
Explore robotics engineering manuals and learn the logic behind sensor-based interaction.
Engage in reading, writing, and debating around the theme "Should Robots Replace Jobs?"
Tackle math concepts like algebra and logic, applied directly in their coding work.
End the week with a field trip to the LEGO Discovery Center, where fun meets inspiration.
🤖 August 18–22: Advanced LEGO Robotics & Innovation Challenge
Ideal for students with prior experience or a passion for tech, this week takes the robotics experience to the next level:
Tackle AI ethics through articles and debate the question "Is Unlimited Innovation Safe?"
Write persuasive essays on "Regulating AI Development" to strengthen critical thinking and communication skills.
Work in teams to build competitive robots, 3D print custom parts, and complete obstacle course challenges.
Master binary systems and algorithmic thinking in fun and accessible ways.
The week ends with a trip to the New York Hall of Science, reinforcing STEM concepts through interactive exhibits.

For families who can’t join us this summer or want to continue their LEGO learning journey, WCDC offers two exciting after-school LEGO programs during the school year:
LEGO Explorer (Formerly LEGO Essentials): Perfect for younger students or beginners learning about gears, sensors, and simple code.
LEGO Challenge (Aligned with FLL competition goals): Ideal for older students who want to compete in the 2026 FLL Robotics Competition. Includes coding, team project work, and innovation design.
Don’t miss our free online info session on May 29 at 7pm EST, where we’ll share how WCDC prepares students for the FIRST LEGO League and how your child can join our award-winning robotics team. We’ll also host a special in-person LEGO Open House on June 8 at 1pm EST with team demos and coaches!
