As the school year winds down, parents face a familiar challenge: balancing their professional schedules with sudden school closures and the gap before traditional summer camps begin.
At Westchester Child Development Center (WCDC), we bridge this gap by providing high-quality, inclusive, and reliable childcare coverage. Our upcoming day camps offer the perfect blend of academic enrichment, hands-on STEM exploration, and active play to keep your child engaged when school is out.

June 19th Day Camp: Seamless School-Out Coverage
When schools close for local holidays or break days, finding reliable coverage is a top priority for working families. On June 19th, WCDC is hosting a fully structured Day Camp from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM to ensure your child’s day off is filled with productivity and fun.
For $150 per day, campers in grades K–5 participate in a well-rounded rotation of activities designed to stimulate both their minds and bodies:
Morning Academic Enrichment: Students build foundational literacy skills through targeted Premium Reading and Creative Writing sessions.
Hands-On STEM & Innovation: Campers dive into LEGO Robotics and interactive Science Experiments, learning engineering and problem-solving through project-based tasks.
Afternoon Recreation: The day wraps up with structured indoor and outdoor sports, ensuring children stay active and build vital collaborative skills.
Need Extended Hours? To fully support working parents, WCDC offers early drop-off starting at 8:00 AM ($20/day) and late pick-up until 6:00 PM ($10/day).
⚽ Special Offer: World Cup Theme Camp (June 29 – July 3)
For parents in need of dedicated childcare coverage during the critical transition week before our official summer camp season begins on July 6th, we are excited to announce a Special Edition World Cup Theme Week from June 29th to July 3rd!
This special intermediate week uses the global spirit of soccer to introduce kids to international sports culture, strategic thinking, and team dynamics.

What Makes This Week Special?
Global Sports Culture: Campers will explore the history and geography of different soccer-loving nations, celebrating diversity through global athletic traditions.
Strategic Logic & Analytics: Mirroring our Special STEM Labs, students will engage in "Data Detective" activities, analyzing sports statistics, tournament brackets, and team strategies to boost critical thinking.
Robotics & Tech Integrations: In the spirit of engineering innovation, campers will design and program their own LEGO robots to compete in themed sports challenges and field drills.
Active Field Play: Daily outdoor sessions will focus on soccer fundamentals, sportsmanship, and physical fitness, culminating in a mini-tournament showcase at the end of the week.
This theme week provides an immediate solution for families needing structured, secure care during late June, while offering children an unforgettable, high-energy educational experience.
