As we prepare for an unforgettable summer of discovery at the WCDC 2026 Summer Camp, we are thrilled to announce a phenomenal addition to our instructional team!

We are honored to welcome Ms. Jumana Asrar—a Harvard Kennedy School graduate, artificial intelligence specialist, and deeply dedicated educator—as a special guest speaker and instructor for our upcoming summer sessions. Ms. Asrar will be leading core elements of our cutting-edge AI curriculum, bringing world-class expertise directly to our campers.

Ms. Asrar brings over 18 years of experience in education, research, and digital innovation. At the Harvard Kennedy School, she specialized in Artificial Intelligence, Product Management, Leadership, and Digital Innovation. Her teaching philosophy focuses on making advanced technology accessible, creative, and engaging for young minds.

Beyond her technical credentials, Ms. Asrar is an exceptional advocate for inclusive learning. She specializes in classroom support for neurodiverse students in New York and is currently completing her Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training to implement evidence-based practices for children with autism and other developmental learning styles.

🤖 Elevating the WCDC Summer AI Track

Ms. Asrar’s unique interdisciplinary approach perfectly matches WCDC’s mission to foster critical thinking, collaboration, and confidence through experiential learning. She will be bringing her specialized expertise to our signature summer programs:

  • Core STEM Block: AI Concepts for Kids

Ms. Asrar will guide campers through foundational AI concepts, including pattern recognition, decision-making models, and age-appropriate discussions on real-world technology ethics.

  • Afternoon Challenge: AI Explorers

Through interactive games and hands-on modeling, she will help students demystify how machines "think," turning abstract concepts into engaging, tangible discoveries.

  • Storytelling & Communication Integration

Believing that communication is a vital life skill, Ms. Asrar blends AI activities with creative storytelling and public speaking. Campers won't just learn to code or use technology; they will build the confidence to present their ideas articulately.

At WCDC, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, professional, and inclusive programming. Ms. Asrar’s extensive background in special education ensures that our AI tracks are thoughtfully structured to support diverse learning styles.
